Alex is exceptionally talented in the kitchen. He showed us around the local neighborhood, brought us to the market to learn about the fresh ingredients we would be using and then he taught us how to make two typical Taiwanese dishes. The food was delicious and easy to prepare with all of the ingredients prepped and ready to go. Alex is very kind and welcoming. I would definitely recommend this cooking class and will definitely repeat next time I’m in Taiwan!

參加「好客台北」大稻埕小旅行煮食活動。
地點在大稻埕十連棟，9:30集合,首先主辦單位Alex帶我們爬三層樓高樓梯到河堤欣賞新店溪遼闊。十連棟旁台北橋始於光緒年間為木造橋，橋上也有火車通過，造就大稻埕地區活絡商業活動。台北橋歷經五次整修到今天的規模，我最喜歡第三次外觀似現在的西螺大橋。
接著我們走訪了太平傳統市場，拜訪有86年歷史的延平教會，再回到十連棟址，結束小小歷史回顧，準備學做「英國鄉村派」或稱「牧羊人派」。我們回到十連棟的私廚,喝著咖啡愜意準備食材，聽Alex解說步驟，一步一步完成擺盤，進烤箱後慢慢食物香氣瀰漫滿屋。我想起日劇「多謝款待」，生活煮食、吃食讓人有幸福感。幸福的一天！

Alex had more than 10 years as a flight purser in airline industry.
He likes to travel and to enjoy gourmets.
He is the author of many Bali guide books.
More than that, he has been travelled to Dharamsala, India to as a volunteer for teaching Mandarin to the Tibetan young generation who are exiling with his holiness Dalai Lama.
Alex’s grand mom was here in dadaocheng for starting her first job. In order to memory this brilliant lady, he chose Dadaocheng to getting close to grandmom’s old steps.
